Here's the 2006 Christmas Card:
Here's what we've been up to: (hold your breath) I'll start smallest and work my way up. Sam is 1 1/2 years old and 32 pounds and trying hard every day to get bigger. One of his first, and most frequently used, words is Eat (well, more like eeeeeeeeeeeeeee....eeeeeeeeeaaa
t) He also gets a lot of usage out of NOOoooOOOOO! and Stooop!, but then, he does have an older sister teaching him all the important things. Hannah is 3 years old going on 13. She is an excellent big sister. she already has the most useful tactics figured out- quickly report any misdeeds in her favor, give back the toy before mom enters the room, and put the best toys out of reach. She can also do some really helpful things, like change Sam's stinky diaper while mom's in the shower (yikes!), pour her own milk in her own cup (and the table), and fix just about anything in the house with a screwdriver (this usually involves hitting and gouging). Sarah (that's me) takes care of the kids. When she's not doing that she attends her 2 book clubs, one with the church and another with the public library. she also practices her clarinet with the River City band. And she is called to be with the young women at church, so most week nights are busy. I'm having a lot of fun, and I'm really happy. I'm not sure if life is ever going to get better than this. Richard just, on Dec.14th, finished his masters in Electrical Engineering with a whopping 4.0 average. He starts his doctorate in the spring and that should take another 3 years or so. In his spare time he plays with me and the kids. In his other spare time he plays with his rock band (they actually really are very good). They do a lot of covers and have played and several church dances and wedding receptions. We are all healthy, happy, and merry and hope you are too-
